Ο πρόεδρος Τραμπ διαγνώστηκε με χρόνια φλεβική ανεπάρκεια

Ο πρόεδρος των ΗΠΑ Ντόναλντ Τραμπ διαγνώστηκε με χρόνια φλεβική ανεπάρκεια, αφού υποβλήθηκε σε εξετάσεις καθώς παρουσίαζε οίδημα στο κάτω μέρος των ποδιών, ανακοίνωσε ο Λευκός Οίκος.

 

Η εκπρόσωπος του Λευκού Οίκου, Κάρολαϊν Λέβιτ, διαβάζοντας την επιστολή του γιατρού, ανέφερε ότι πρόκειται για μια «ήπια» κατάσταση, προσθέτοντας ότι τα αποτελέσματα των εξετάσεων του προέδρου ήταν εντός των φυσιολογικών ορίων. Φυσιολογική ήταν επίσης η δομή και η λειτουργία της καρδιάς.

 

Ένας μικρός μώλωπας στο χέρι του Τραμπ, που ήταν εμφανής σε πρόσφατες φωτογραφίες του, αποδίδεται στις συχνές χειραψίες που κάνει και στη λήψη ασπιρίνης.

 

Η Λέβιτ είπε ότι η φλεβική ανεπάρκεια είναι μια «συνηθισμένη πάθηση» σε άτομα άνω των 70 ετών και δεν υπάρχουν ενδείξεις για εν τω βάθει φλεβική θρόμβωση ή για κάποιο πρόβλημα στις αρτηρίες του προέδρου.
