Πέθανε ο ηθοποιός Δάνης Κατρανίδης

Έφυγε από τη ζωή σε ηλικία 75 ετών ο ηθοποιός Δάνης Κατρανίδης. Την είδηση για τον θάνατο του αγαπημένου ηθοποιού γνωστοποίησε ο πρώην πρόεδρος του Σωματείου Ελλήνων Ηθοποιών Σπύρος Μπιμπίλας, σε ανάρτησή του στο Facebook: «Μέσα στην αλλαγή του μήνα έφυγε ο αγαπημένος μας πολυτάλαντος συνάδελφος, φίλος, γελαστό παιδί του θεάτρου, άνθρωπος πνευματικός που με κάθε του κίνηση παρήγαγε πολιτισμό! Αγαπημένε μας Δάνη Κατρανίδη το θλιβερό αυτό νέο συγκλονίζει όλη την καλλιτεχνική μας οικογένεια....Το κενό είναι μεγάλο...».

Ο Δάνης Κατρανίδης γεννήθηκε στις 4 Αυγούστου 1949 στο Αιγάλεω. Το 1971 αποφοίτησε από τη Δραματική Σχολή Αθηνών «Γιώργος Θεοδοσιάδης» και το διάστημα 1971-1978 υπήρξε ηθοποιός του Εθνικού Θεάτρου. Τη θεατρική σεζόν 1978-1979 έγραψε ιστορία στον ρόλο του κομπέρ στη θρυλική παράσταση Cabaret που ανέβασε η Αλίκη Βουγιουκλάκη. Έπαιξε σε όλα τα είδη θεάτρου, από τραγωδία και κωμωδία μέχρι μιούζικαλ και επιθεώρηση, ενώ άκρως αξιόλογη ήταν η συμμετοχή του στο θέατρο του ραδιοφώνου. Δίδαξε στην Ανωτέρα Δραματική Σχολή «Ίασμος» και στο Θεατρικό Εργαστήρι «Βασίλης Διαμαντόπουλος». 

Ως λάτρης της θάλασσας και δεινός ιστιοπλόος είχε στο ενεργητικό του δεκάδες συμμετοχές και κατακτήσεις σε αγώνες ανοικτής θαλάσσης. Το 1971, παντρεύτηκε με την επίσης ηθοποιό (και συμμαθήτρια του στη Σχολή του Γ. Θεοδοσιάδη) Μίρκα Παπακωνσταντίνου. Χώρισαν το 1977.
