Πέθανε σε ηλικία 102 ετών ο πατέρας της Βίκυ Λέανδρος - Είχε γράψει το «Après Toi»

Έφυγε από τη ζωή σε ηλικία 102 ετών ο Λεό Λέανδρος (Λέανδρος Παπαθανασίου) τραγουδιστής, συνθέτης και στιχουργός με καριέρα τόσο στην Ελλάδα όσο και διεθνώς.

 

Ο Λεό Λέανδρος γεννήθηκε στις 23 Αυγούστου 1923 στον Αστακό Αιτωλοακαρνανιας και την δεκαετία του '50 μετανάστευσε στη Γερμανία για να σταδιοδρομήσει στη μουσική.

 

Χρησιμοποίησε τα καλλιτεχνικά ψευδώνυμα Λέο Λέανδρος (Leo Leandros) και Μάριο Πάνας (Mario Panas).

 

Υπήρξε ένας από τους πρώτους ερμηνευτές του ύμνου του Παναθηναϊκού. Στη Γερμανία, γνώρισε μεγάλη επιτυχία ως συνθέτης και παραγωγός, ιδιαίτερα για την κόρη του, Βίκυ Λέανδρος, τραγουδίστριας διεθνούς φήμης.

 

Αποφάσισε να εγκαταλείψει την προσωπική του καριέρα ως τραγουδιστής για να αφοσιωθεί στην καριέρα της κόρης του. Ως συνθέτης, συνέβαλε στη νίκη της κόρης του, Βίκυ Λέανδρος, στον διαγωνισμό τραγουδιού της Eurovision το 1972 με το τραγούδι "Après Toi" ("Μόλις φύγεις").

 

Συνολικά, ο Λεό Λέανδρος άφησε το στίγμα του ως πολύπλευρος καλλιτέχνης και ως ο μέντορας πίσω από τη μεγάλη επιτυχία της Βίκυ Λέανδρος.
