Συνάντηση Κυρ. Μητσοτάκη με τον πρόεδρο του Ευρωπαϊκού Συμβουλίου Αντόνιο Κόστα

Την πλήρη υποστήριξή του στον εκλεγμένο πρόεδρο του Ευρωπαϊκού Συμβουλίου Αντόνιο Κόστα, εξέφρασε ο πρωθυπουργός Κυριάκος Μητσοτάκης κατά την έναρξη της συνάντησής τους στο Μέγαρο Μαξίμου. Από την πλευρά του, ο νέος πρόεδρος του Ευρωπαϊκού Συμβουλίου, τόνισε ότι υπολογίζει στη στήριξη του Έλληνα πρωθυπουργού και επισήμανε ότι σε καιρούς προκλήσεων, οι Ευρωπαίοι πρέπει να μείνουν ενωμένοι.

 

   Ο διάλογος του του πρωθυπουργού Κυριάκου Μητσοτάκη με τον εκλεγμένο πρόεδρο του Ευρωπαϊκού Συμβουλίου, Αντόνιο Κόστα, αναλυτικά, σε ανεπίσημη μετάφραση, έχει ως εξής:

 

   Κυριάκος Μητσοτάκης: Είναι χαρά μου που σε καλωσορίζω, αγαπητέ Αντόνιο, και θέλω να σου ευχηθώ τα καλύτερα για τα καθήκοντα που θα αναλάβεις. Γνωριζόμαστε από την περίοδο της θητείας μας στο Ευρωπαϊκό Συμβούλιο. Αρχίζεις τη θητεία σου με την πλήρη υποστήριξη των μελών του Ευρωπαϊκού Συμβουλίου, διότι σε θεωρούμε έναν από εμάς. Εύχομαι για μία ακόμα φορά, λοιπόν, ό,τι καλύτερο.

 

   Αντόνιο Κόστα: Σε ευχαριστώ, Κυριάκο, ευχαριστώ για τη στήριξή σου. Υπολογίζω στη στήριξή σου αυτά τα 2,5 χρόνια. Ζούμε σε καιρούς μεγάλων προκλήσεων και πρέπει να μείνουμε ενωμένοι. Υπολογίζουμε σε εσάς.
