Τζάμπα αποκλεισμός της Εθνικής Πόλο από την Ιταλία

Η Ελλάδα δεν κατάφερε να έχει διπλή εκπροσώπηση στις 4 καλύτερες ομάδες του κόσμου, καθώς η Εθνική πόλο ανδρών έχασε από την Ιταλία με 11-10.  Οι γείτονες αποδείχθηκαν γι ακόμη μία φορά ο κακός δαίμονας της Ελλάδας, κερδίζοντάς τη για όγδοη φορά στις τελευταίες 11 αναμετρήσεις. Μάλιστα ο πόνος για τον αποκλεισμό γίνεται μεγαλύτερος ειδικά από την στιγμή όπου η «Γαλανόλευκη» είχε φτάσει να προηγείται με 10-8 τρία λεπτά πριν το τέλος της αναμέτρησης, όμως δέχθηκε τρία «αναπάντητα» γκολ. Η Εθνική θα βρεθεί για πρώτη φορά εκτός τετράδας μετά από δύο σερί παγκόσμια, στα οποία κέρδισε το χάλκινο και το ασημένιο μετάλλιο σε Ουγγαρία και Ιαπωνία.
