Το Ισραήλ δέχεται την πρόταση κατάπαυσης του πυρός του Στιβ Γουίτκοφ - Η Χαμάς την εξετάζει

Ο πρωθυπουργός του Ισραήλ Μπενιαμίν Νετανιάχου είπε σε συγγενείς ομήρων που κρατούνται στη Λωρίδα της Γάζας ότι η κυβέρνησή του αποδέχτηκε τη νέα πρόταση για κατάπαυση του πυρός που παρουσίασε ο Αμερικανός ειδικός απεσταλμένος για τη Μέση Ανατολή Στιβ Γουίτκοφ, ανέφεραν ισραηλινά μέσα ενημέρωσης.

 

Η παλαιστινιακή οργάνωση Χαμάς ανακοίνωσε νωρίτερα ότι παρέλαβε τη νέα πρόταση από τους μεσολαβητές και τη μελετά.

 

Σύμφωνα με ισραηλινά μμε, η πρόταση περιλαμβάνει κατάπαυση του πυρός 60 ημερών και την απελευθέρωση δέκα ομήρων. Η Χαμάς θα πρέπει επίσης να παραδώσει τα πτώματα 18 απαχθέντων, σε αντάλλαγμα για την απελευθέρωση Παλαιστινίων από ισραηλινές φυλακές.

 

Εάν κατά το διάστημα της εκεχειρίας Ισραήλ και Χαμάς καταλήξουν σε κάποια συμφωνία για τον τερματισμό του πολέμου, θα απελευθερωθούν και οι υπόλοιποι όμηροι που κρατούνται στη Γάζα.

 

Με βάση την πρόταση, τη διανομή της ανθρωπιστικής βοήθειας στον παλαιστινιακό θύλακα θα αναλάβουν εκ νέου τα Ηνωμένα Έθνη και άλλες διεθνείς οργανώσεις αρωγής.
