Υποψήφια Πρόεδρος η Σεμένια

Η δις ολυμπιονίκης στα 800μ. (2012, 2016), Κάστερ Σεμένια, έκανε γνωστή την πρόθεσή της να διεκδικήσει τη θέση της προέδρου της Διεθνούς Ομοσπονδίας Στίβου (World Athletics), για να «προστατεύσει τους αθλητές». Οι εκλογές θα γίνουν το 2027, όταν ο 67χρονος σημερινός πρόεδρος Σεμπάστιαν Κόε, που είναι επικεφαλής εξουσία από το 2015, δεν θα μπορεί πλέον να είναι υποψήφιος. H Νοτιοαφρικάνη ήταν σε σύγκρουση για αρκετά χρόνια με τη World Athletics λόγω των υψηλών επιπέδων τεστοστερόνης της.
