Xάλκινο μετάλλιο η Χριστίνα Γκέντζου

Η 19χρονη Χριστίνα Γκέντζου έγραψε Ιστορία. Κέρδισε ιστορικά το πρώτο ελληνικό μετάλλιο στο άθλημα του τάε κβον ντο των Παραολυμπιακών Αγώνων και άνοιξε... λογαριασμό για την ελληνική αποστολή στο Παρίσι βάζοντας την Ελλάδα στον πίνακα των μεταλλίων.

 

Στον αγώνα για το χάλκινο μετάλλιο της κατηγορίας των 65κ. (Κ44), η Γκέντζου ήταν εκπληκτική με αντίπαλη την Κινέζα Γίναν Γιάο. Παίζοντας έξυπνα και χτυπώντας στην αντεπίθεση, η Γκέντζου άρχισε να μαζεύει πόντους για να φτάσει να προηγηθεί με 12-2 ένα λεπτό πριν από τη λήξη του αγώνα. 

 

Η Κινέζα προσπάθησε να αντιδράσει αλλά ο αγώνας έληξε 14-4 υπέρ της Ελληνίδας.

 

Το άθλημα του τάε κβον ντο μπήκε για πρώτη φορά στους Αγώνες του Παρισιού και η Γκέντζιου έγινε η πρώτη Ελληνίδα που το κατακτά. Φυσικά είναι και το πρώτο μετάλλιο της ελληνικής αποστολής που ξεκινά τη συλλογή των μεταλλίων από τη 2η κιόλας μέρα των Αγώνων.
